We perform refined arrangements of pieces new and old. The core is brass—trumpet and ivory—piano. We also feature additional distinguished instrumentalists on reeds, brasses, percussion, &c., creating a dramatic range of tonal colors.
Brass on Ivory brings a smoky Paris basement jazz club to meet the classical Paris Conservatory. We create the most elegant setting for jazz, standards, swing, blues, Broadway melodies, Latin jazz samba/bossa nova and popular music—amid works of classical composers.
