In the Groove: Battle of the Bands 2011 will present 64 bands from throughout the Northeast in two rounds of competition with prizes available in both rounds. The competition has divisions for both 18+ and under 18 bands. The promoters welcome a variety of genres including acoustic, adult contemporary, classic rock, country, electronic/dance/DJ, folk, funk, Gospel, hip hop, rap, jazz, Latin, metal, pop, punk, rock, reggae, singer/songwriter, urban, R&B, and world. Battles will be held in Cambridge, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.
